Stampede 101  was wonderful, despite cancellations of some of the big concert events.  We had an outstanding First Flip, and Mayor Nenshi came down to remind the world that Calgary is “OPEN” for business again, and I was told the band appeared on the evening’s TV broadcast — cool.   The Delta hotel, where I play regularly, reopened after the extended power outage (luckily they didn’t actually flood), and we’re back there again for a couple shows in August.     Come on out for Ivan Daine’s Country Music PickNic — it’s a wonderful annual event out at his personal rodeo grounds — tickets here or come  on out to the Lazy Ace in Bieseker Aug 17th.   Now that Stampede is over, I’ll be relaxing a bit before doing some more songwriting…drop me a note to say hello anytime!
