Serendipitous breakthrough!! We’ve found a new, permanent lead guitar player: Peter Boyce! Funny story: I met him about a month ago at Ironwood at my lunch show, and we got our wires crossed re: who was supposed to call whom…and he assumed I filled the spot, and I assumed he found something else. So then, since he lives in Okotoks, he happened to drop by our show at the George on Friday night, and came over and said hello. We chatted and realized our error – and then I set up an audition for him for the next day, Saturday afternoon, before the show! He was amazing – there was nothing he couldn’t play beautifully right out of the gate – all by just listening (no charts)… and he can sing, and harmonize beautifully. So I invited him to the Saturday night George show to see how he clicked with the guys. The guys were absolutely thrilled with him – just an excellent fit. Anton (my smiling drummer) was so happy he said “Can I hug this guy?” – and we had a fabulous show! The owners of the George loved the show too, and even bought a bunch of my CD’s to hand out to the crowd. This is like the last piece of my “puzzle” – one I’ve really been holding out for. I am so proud to have Peter on the team…now it’s LOOK OUT…wait’ll you hear THIS band!
