I wrote a couple new songs in the past two weeks called “Moonlight’s Calling” and “High Horse”…and am really loving them. Have only performed them a couple times so far – I tried one on Friday at lunch, and then both of them on the Friday night at Dog & Duck, despite the band never having heard them before! Thanks to Lawrence Ball and Ron Lukiv for being great sports, and stepping to the plate. It was a great show Friday – and the staff and patrons had an enthusiastic response. Turns out the patrons there do like to get up and dance, so I’m returning next time with a drummer to punch that up a notch. I loved playing that room, and we’ll certainly be back – I have the next show booked for Friday, March 6th.
